        abstract = {Cocaine use among college students has emerged as a significant public health concern, particularly in urban educational environments such as Coimbatore district. This study explores the various socio-demographic, psychological, and environmental factors that contribute to cocaine use among college students, along with its multifaceted impacts. Key contributing factors identified include peer pressure, academic stress, curiosity, easy availability of drugs, and the influence of social media and nightlife culture. Psychological vulnerabilities such as anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem further increase susceptibility to substance use. The study highlights that students often perceive cocaine as a stimulant that enhances confidence, social acceptance, and academic performance, despite its highly addictive nature. The impacts of cocaine use are extensive, affecting physical health, mental well-being, academic performance, and social relationships. Common consequences include anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, poor academic outcomes, and strained family relations. The study also reveals a lack of awareness among students regarding the long-term harmful effects of cocaine use. It emphasizes the need for effective preventive strategies, including awareness programs, counselling services, and institutional interventions. Strengthening mental health support systems and promoting informed decision-making are essential to mitigate substance abuse and ensure student well-being.},
