HERBAL FORMULATION ON PCOD CHYAWANPRASH

  • An Ayurvedic health supplement called Chyawanprash (CP) is composed of a highly concentrated mixture of minerals and plants thatare high in nutrients. Itisintendedtoreplenish depleted life force (ojas) reserves and maintain vitality, strength, and endurance while delaying the course of becoming older. The main element of CP, Amla (Indian gooseberry), the world's richest source of vitamin C, is made by processing over 50 medicinal plants and their extracts. The process of making CPentails first making herbal infusion, thendryingtheextract, mixing it with honey, and adding, as astandard, powdered fragrant herbs (clove, cardamom,). The final result tastes sweet, sour, and spicy pungent and bitter and has a consistency similar to fruit jam. To determine the effectiveness of CP as a treatment, scientific research is necessary. The available data on the therapeutic potential of CP is dispersed, and it must be brought together. An attempt was thus made to gather the disparate data. From ancient Ayurvedic scriptures and treatises to ethnobotanical, ethnopharmacological, and scientifically proven literature, CP's medicinal role is highlighted. Relevantcitationsforthe subject were vetted. Two inhousebatch of CP sample was procured from market. These batches were evaluated by physicochemical methods and its bio-efficacy was determined by various biological methods like antioxidant study and microbial contamination study and finally stability study was performed on the formulation according to the ICH guidelines. PCOS, or polycystic ovarian syndrome, is a prevalent condition affecting women in the reproductive age range of 15 to 40. Gynecological and endocrine issues are to blame. These days, PCOS is a lifestyle condition. Due to fast food consumption, sedentary behaviors, and a flawed lifestyle. The primary causes of PCOS include elevated insulin, hyper androgen (male hormone), and luteinizing hormone (LH), albeit the precise reason is uncertain. PCOSmanifests as hirsutism, thinning hair, acne, constipation, oligomenorrhea, delayed menstruation, and obesity. Hence to overcome this PCOS related problem we have prepared this ayurvedic malt (Chyawanprash).
