  • Herbal cosmetics have gained significant attention due to their safety, effectiveness, and minimal side effects compared to synthetic products. The present study focuses on the formulation and evaluation of a herbal cosmetic cream incorporating Calendula officinalis (marigold) flower extract, known for its skin-soothing, anti-inflammatory, and wound-healing properties. The marigold extract was prepared using suitable extraction techniques and incorporated into a cream base using standard formulation methods. The formulated cream was evaluated for various physicochemical parameters such as pH, viscosity, spreadability, homogeneity, and stability, along with skin irritation tests to ensure safety. The presence of bioactive compounds like flavonoids, triterpenoids, and carotenoids in marigold contributes to its therapeutic effects, promoting skin repair and reducing inflammation. The results indicated that the developed cream exhibited good consistency, stability, and skin compatibility, making it suitable for topical application. The study concludes that marigold-based herbal cream can be an effective natural alternative for soothing irritated skin, reducing inflammation, and enhancing wound healing.
