  • Abstract:
  • The current work performs a comparative study of four CMOS operational amplifier structures: single-stage, telescopic cascode, folded cascode, and Miller compensated by employing Cadence Virtuoso simulation software while maintaining identical biasing in order to provide a fair comparison of each structure. Parameters like DC gain, unity gain bandwidth (UGB), phase margin, slew rate, power dissipation, common mode rejection ratio (CMRR), and power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) are analyzed. It reveals the strengths and weaknesses of each structure with respect to gain, bandwidth, stability, and power consumption.
