abstract = {This paper develops a theorem-driven certification framework for data-driven control under model uncertainty. The central result establishes that if a learned closed-loop proxy admits a computable quadratic Lyapunov certificate with a strict decrease margin on a prescribed compact domain, and if the mismatch between the true and proxy closed-loop maps satisfies a certified relative error bound below an explicit threshold, then the true closed loop is exponentially stable with a computable decay rate. The admissible error margin is given in closed form in terms of the Lyapunov matrix, the decrease constant and the certification radius.
The analysis then converts certified residual bounds from data equations into certified relative closed-loop error bounds, thereby exposing the role of data conditioning in a directly checkable way. Building on the primary theorem, the paper derives explicit robustness margins for switched and networked implementations, including computable average dwell-time thresholds. Event-triggered implementations are treated through explicit dissipation inequalities, yielding certified decay rates together with a strictly positive inter-event lower bound that excludes Zeno behavior.
The paper is fully deterministic and margin-based. It avoids qualitative small-gain arguments, simulation-only validation and unspecified smoothness assumptions. Worked examples compute all constants symbolically from stated quantities and illustrate both the certification mechanism and the precise points at which the program fails when verifiability is lost.},
