abstract = {Digital footprints are the traces of information individuals leave behind while using the internet and digital technologies. These footprints are created through activities such as browsing websites, using social media, online shopping, and digital communication. This study examines the nature, types, benefits, and risks associated with digital footprints using secondary data collected from research reports, academic publications, and educational resources. The findings indicate that digital footprints can support professional growth, educational opportunities, and personalized online services. However, they also present significant risks, including privacy loss, identity theft, cybercrime, and reputation damage. The study concludes that digital literacy and responsible online behavior are essential for managing digital footprints effectively and ensuring online safety.},
