        abstract = {Gender roles are socially constructed expectations that define appropriate patterns of behaviour for boys and girls, men and women, based on the concepts of masculinity and femininity associated with their biological sex. These roles are one of the primary factors contributing to gender inequality. Gender roles have a significant impact on both individual lives and society as a whole. The gender-based division of labour, which stems from traditional gender roles, has historically confined women to the private sphere while assigning men to the public sphere. Although this pattern has evolved over time and considerable progress has been made toward gender equality, traditional stereotypes of masculinity and femininity continue to persist. Gender roles are not static; rather, they are dynamic and change over time in response to cultural, social, and economic transformations. The twenty-first century is widely recognized as an era of rapid social change, and this has brought noticeable shifts in the organization and perception of gender roles. In this paper, the researcher attempts to examine how the rigid patterns of traditional gender roles are becoming more flexible in the twenty-first century, paving the way toward greater gender equality.},
