  • Abstract:
  • The study deals with estimating the unknown parameter and the reliability measures of Shanker distribution using data obtained from a Type-II censored sample. Various Bayesian estimators are derived under both symmetric and asymmetric loss functions, including squared error, LINEX, and general entropy losses. The Lindley approximation technique is applied to compute these Bayesian estimates. Through simulation experiments, the Bayesian estimators are compared with the maximum likelihood estimators based on their mean squared errors, and relevant observations are discussed. Finally, real data set are examined to demonstrate the practical application of the proposed methods.
