abstract = {Background - A quantitative research approach was used because the study aimed to measure the knowledge of students regarding CPR and determine the effectiveness of the Video Assisted Teaching Module. Objective To assess the effectiveness of a Video Assisted Teaching Module (VATM) on knowledge regarding Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) among students studying in selected colleges of Maharashtra. Method A pre-experimental one-group pre-test and post-test research design was adopted. In this design, students' knowledge was assessed before the intervention, the Video Assisted Teaching Module was administered, and knowledge was assessed again after the intervention. The study included 126 college students selected using a non-probability convenient sampling technique. The participants were non-medical undergraduate students aged 18-25 years who were willing to participate and provide informed consent and were available during the data collection period. Students who had recently completed certified CPR/BLS training or who participated in the pilot study were excluded. Result - Overall, the dissertation investigated the effectiveness of a Video Assisted Teaching Module regarding CPR among students studying in selected colleges of Maharashtra. A quantitative pre-experimental one-group pre-test/post-test design was used among 126 students. A 30-item structured questionnaire was used to assess CPR knowledge before and after the intervention. The findings showed a significant improvement in students' knowledge following VATM, with the mean score increasing from 13.2 to 30.4 and a highly significant p-value of 0.0001. Therefore, the study supports the use of Video Assisted Teaching Modules as an effective method for improving CPR knowledge among college student. Conclusion - The major finding of the study was the improvement in CPR knowledge following administration of the Video Assisted Teaching Module. The mean knowledge score increased from 13.2 ± 3.8 in the pre-test to 30.4 ± 1.5 in the post-test, with a mean difference of approximately 17.2. The calculated paired t-value was 51.52 and the p-value was 0.0001, indicating a statistically highly significant improvement in knowledge following the intervention.},
