The study examines the major determinants of digital payment adoption and their influence on consumer behaviour in India. Consumer behaviour is influenced by factors like convenience, ease of use, safety and security considerations, trust, accessibility and demographic boundaries. The study lays significant emphasises on strengthening digital financial literacy and improving fraud protection mechanisms supported by prudent regulatory measures by policymakers, financial institutions, and payment service providers.
