Solar energyis the most dominant renewable resource of energy and have a large share in the world energy mix in the next 10-15 years. Current commercially available single junction silicon solar cells absorb light only in one spectrum and are about 21 % efficient with maximum theoretical efficiency being 30 %. This paper proposes a method of modelling and simulation of tandem cells. Tandem cells are multijunction solar cell in which different semiconductor materials are arranged in layer structure which absorbs multiple spectrum of light. The maximum theoretical efficiency multijunction cells is about 86.8%}, keywords = {Tandem cells, Multijunction solar cell (MJSC) MATLAB Simulink, Photovoltaic (PV) cell,double diode model }, month = {}, }
