Abstract
In the present cloud emerging world, where every cloud service provider, providing IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS has a very important thing to look after and that is the monitoring of the infrastructure so that Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability of the product or service are taken care of. Private or public network switches is one the important component of such an infrastructure. In this paper, we are trying to demonstrate how Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) can be used to monitor the network switches.
