Abstract
The aim of the present study was to monitor adverse drug reactions (ADRs). Spontaneous reporting of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) is important in the detection of new, rare and/or serious ADRs. Clinical research includes pharmacovigilance as a crucial and vital component. Pharmacovigilance is described as the "pharmacological science related to the detection, assessment, understanding, and prevention of adverse effects, particularly long-term and short-term adverse effects of medications." This explains what pharmacovigilance actually is. What do we now know about its advantages, hazards, difficulties, and prospects for pharmacovigilance in Indian medicine? Here, the primary emphasis is on the objectives, function, and partners of pharmacovigilance in the control of medications.
