The fashion industry is one of the largest contributors to environmental degradation and waste production, and there is a growing need for sustainable solutions. Thrift stores have emerged as a potential solution to the problem of fast fashion, as they promote the reuse and recycling of clothing and other goods. This paper examines the impact of thrift stores on sustainable fashion, with a focus on the operations of Goodwill Industries. We employ a case study approach, using both qualitative and quantitative data to analyze the role of Goodwill in promoting sustainable fashion practices. Our findings suggest that Goodwill plays a critical role in diverting textiles from landfills and promoting sustainable consumption patterns.
