Abstract
Over-burden refers to the unused rock or soil that is produced during mining operations and is deposited within the mine area. Disposing of this waste poses a substantial environmental challenge and incurs extra costs for the mining sector. Opting for Over-burden sand as a substitute for river sand in construction offers several benefits, including reduced environmental impact, increased land resource availability, decreased disposal costs associated with over-burden for the mining industry, and aiding in the preservation of natural river sand in and around Tamil Nadu
