  • Abstract:
  • Studies have been conducted for the utilization of biochar in the construction and building industries and it has been identified as a promising approach to decrease carbon dioxide emissions and contribute towards achieving carbon neutrality. The purpose of this study is to explore the possibilities of utilization of Char produced from pyrolysis of Solid Waste instead of biochar as a building material, in order to reduce problem of huge Solid Waste landfills and mitigate its environmental impacts. An experimental study has been conducted to observe the feasibility of utilization of Solid Waste Char in higher proportions for production of Masonry bricks.
