  • Abstract:
  • In today’s scenario, everyone is facing problems which are arising due to the increase in the emissions from the IC engines which are being used in all the vehicles. These pollutants prove to be very hazardous to the human life by forming harmful carcinogens in the human body which lead to cancer which being a death causing disease. With this view of subsidising the harmful emissions from the engines, the present project “INVESTIGATION OF POLLUTION CHARACTERISTICS WHEN METHANOL IS BLENDED WITH GASOLINE ON 2-STROKE AND 4-STROKE ENGINE” has been taken up. In this present work CH3OH has been selected as it is a general bi-product of many processing industries like sugar factory, paper mills etc., and is thus a renewable source. CH3OH has similar burning characteristics as that of gasoline.
