LEAF CARE : A System for Detecting and Cleaning Plant Dust

  • Dust accumulation on plant leaves can significantly reduce photosynthetic efficiency, impacting plant growth and crop yields. Manual cleaning methods are time-consuming and impractical for large-scale agriculture or controlled greenhouse environments. This project introduces an IoT-based Leaf Care System that automates the detection of dust levels on leaves and activates a sprinkler system to clean them. The system uses a dust sensor (GP2Y1010AU0F) to measure particulate concentration and triggers a relay-controlled sprinkler when levels exceed a predefined threshold. The microcontroller collects and processes sensor data, providing real-time monitoring. This solution enhances plant health with minimal human intervention, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor smart farming setups.
