abstract = {In accordance with HIPAA(health insurance portability and accountability act) patient privacy and security is important in protection of healthcare privacy. At the same time growing number of population and significant portion of that suffering from cardiac diseases it is conceivable that remote ECG patient monitoring systems are expected to be widely used as point-of-care(PoC) application in hospitals around the world. Therefore patient ECG signals and other physiological readings such as temperature blood pressure, glucose readings etc are collected at home by using Body Sensor Networks. It will be transmitted and diagnosed by remote patient monitoring systems. In this paper wavelet based stegnography technique has been introduced which combines encryption and scrambling technique to protect patient confedential data.stegnography usually deals with the way of hiding the existence of the communicated data in such a way thatit remains confedential.},
