The Serratus anterior is an important muscle for stabilizing the scapula during upper limb movements and is commonly involved in various pushing movements. Understanding the myoelectrical activity of the Serratus anterior during pushing activity can provide valuable insights into its role in shoulder stability and injury prevention. Methodology: A convenience sample of forty-five male subjects, all of whom were adults and right side dominant, were recruited for this study. The subjects were divided into three groups, A, B, and C. Group A had a mean age of (29.933 ± 2.84) years and a mean height of (177.46 ± 3.37) cm. Group B had a mean age of (29.333 ± 2.82) years and a mean height of (176.93 ± 3.97) cm. Group C had a mean age of (28.933 ± 3.32) years and a mean height of (178.40 ± 3.68) cm. All subjects were taken from the population in and around the different hospitals of Dehradun. Prior to the study, each subject was informed about the procedure and demonstrated by the experimental therapist. Written informed consent was obtained from all subjects. During the study, the myoelectrical activity of the Serratus anterior was measured using surface electromyography (EMG). Each subject performed a pushing activity with their trunk forward bent and elbow extended. The EMG data was recorded and analyzed to determine the myoelectrical activity of the Serratus anterior during the pushing activity. Results: The results of the study showed that the pushing activity performed with the trunk forward bent and the elbow extended produced increased myoelectrical activity of the Serratus anterior. This suggests that the Serratus anterior plays an important role in stabilizing the scapula during pushing movements, especially when the trunk is in a forward bent position and the elbow is extended. Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, it can be concluded that the myoelectrical activity of the Serratus anterior is increased during pushing activity when the trunk is forward bent and the elbow is extended.
