This chapter aims to explain the key types, methods, and impacts of these threats, drawing on recent academic findings. It begins by highlighting the escalating importance of cybersecurity and the significant financial, reputational, and operational risks posed by cyber incidents. The chapter then categorizes cyber threats, including malware, phishing, denial of service (DoS) attacks, man-in-the-middle (MitM) attacks, and SQL injection, detailing their characteristics and consequences.
