Montmorillonite Clay Catalyzed synthesis of 2,3-dihydroquinazoline analogues

  • Abstract:
  • Proposed methodology consists of eco-friendly procedure for the preparation of 2,3-dihydroquinazoline-4(1H)-ones from 2-aminobenzamide and substituted aromatic aldehydes in presence of Montmorillonite clay. Environmentally friendly profile of this reaction method with simple workup makes this method more attractive. Good to excellent yield of products, simple working strategy and easy purification are the advantage of present methodology.
