        abstract = {Cooperative enterprises represent a unique model of economic organization grounded in democratic participation, equitable distribution of benefits, and community-centered development. In the context of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), cooperatives have emerged as critical institutions that bridge economic growth with social justice and environmental sustainability. This paper examines the role of cooperatives in advancing SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 12 (Responsible Production and Consumption). Using Indian cooperative case studies such as dairy, agricultural, and women-led cooperatives, the study demonstrates how cooperative models contribute to inclusive development. The paper concludes that strengthening cooperative governance, digital capacity, and policy support can significantly enhance their role in achieving the SDGs.},
