abstract = {Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative technology in Human Resource Management (HRM), particularly in recruitment and selection. Traditional recruitment processes often require considerable time, administrative effort, and financial resources to identify, evaluate, and select suitable candidates. AI-powered recruitment systems offer new possibilities for automating repetitive tasks, screening applications, matching candidate profiles with job requirements, scheduling interviews, and supporting data-driven decision-making. These technologies can improve recruitment efficiency, reduce administrative workloads, and enhance the candidate experience. However, the adoption of AI also raises important concerns regarding algorithmic bias, data privacy, transparency, accountability, and the potential exclusion of qualified candidates. The effectiveness of AI in recruitment depends on the quality of the data, the fairness of the algorithms, and the degree of human oversight maintained throughout the selection process. This article examines the impact of artificial intelligence on recruitment and selection in Human Resource Management, explores its major advantages and challenges, and proposes strategies for its ethical and effective implementation. It argues that AI should complement human judgement rather than replace the professional expertise of HR managers.},
