abstract = {The demand for high-rise buildings has grown significantly in modern construction. As structures become taller, they face increased vulnerability to seismic and wind loads, making structural protection essential. Consequently, comprehensive research into altering plan configurations is required to develop structurally robust and cost-effective designs. By varying parameters such as story drift, acceleration, and fundamental time period, engineers can better evaluate building performance. This study builds upon existing literature from various researchers to identify geometric shapes that minimize adverse response parameters. Therefore, plan configuration plays a pivotal role and must be carefully optimized within practical design constraints. Seismic activity remains a primary consideration in structural engineering, often evaluated through comparisons between regular and irregular plan shapes. Research indicates that irregular geometries exhibit distinct seismic responses, and variations in configuration produce substantial behavioral changes across different performance metrics. Ultimately, simpler plan layouts tend to deliver the most efficient structural outcomes.},
