Algae and water have an important role in the properties of concrete. The current study aims to investigate the effect of biological substances like phytoplankton (algae) with various concentrations mixed in water on setting time, soundness, and compressive strength of admixture cement. Admixture cement is used and cubes were cast with deionized water containing with and without Algae. The results show that the Algae in deionized water accelerates the initial and final setting times in all the concentrations. Algae in deionized water decrease the compressive strength from an early age (3-days) to the maximum age (2 years). The hydration characteristics of the admixture cement with deionized water containing and without Algae have been studied using the techniques of X-ray diffraction analysis and SEM Analysis }, keywords = {PPC, Silica fume, strength development, X-ray diffraction, SEM Analysis}, month = {}, }
