  • Abstract:
  • This paper explores the ramifications of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending on the Indian banking sector. By analysing regulatory frameworks, market trends, and economic implications, we assess the disruptive influence of P2P lending on traditional banking practices. Our findings highlight both challenges and opportunities arising from this emerging financial model, including increased access to credit, risk management concerns, and potential shifts in consumer behaviour. Ultimately, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of the evolving landscape of financial intermediation in India amidst the rise of P2P lending platforms.
