These initiatives were but one dimension of his grand plan to establish nonviolent resistance to British occupation, designed to strengthen local self–reliance and transform social and economic institutions. This research digs into the place’s history and ideology, many of the gum we’re put in force, such as village sanitation, Khadi production promotion, and new education methods, and their sociopolitical impact on the locality and Indian nation-building.
