  • Abstract:
  • Mobile network also called as cellular network. It is an instance of the wireless network. Mobile network is collection of base stations/towers, which are setup strategically to cover a specific geographical area. Mobile nodes in these type network moves unpredictably among base stations. In order to start the communication every device needs IP configuration, which will be allocated dynamically by DHCP (dynamic host configuration protocol) by default. Once 50% of the lease time is completed it will be renewed based on the request from DHCP client and availability of IP addresses in the IP pool. Every time a mobile device is connected to the access point in the mobile network it will allocated an IP configuration information without relating to its MAC (media access control) address. IP configuration include IP address, subnet mark, default gateway and DNS (domain name system) server.
