  • Abstract:
  • The rapid rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has accelerated the digital transformation of higher education, reshaping teaching learning processes, administrative operations, and student engagement. This transformation presents significant opportunities, including personalized learning experiences, data-driven decision-making, enhanced accessibility, and innovative pedagogical tools such as intelligent tutoring systems and virtual classrooms. AI enables institutions to improve efficiency, optimize resource management, and support diverse learners through adaptive technologies. However, these advancements also introduce critical challenges. Issues related to data privacy, digital inequality, technological dependency, ethical concerns, and the widening skill gap among educators and students pose significant obstacles. Additionally, rapid technological changes require continuous upskilling and infrastructural readiness, which many institutions still struggle to meet. Overall, the study highlights that while AI-driven digital transformation holds immense potential to strengthen higher education, its successful integration depends on addressing ethical, social, and infrastructural challenges to ensure inclusive and sustainable progress.
