Abstract
In the twenty-first century, numerous nations and international organizations have voiced their opinions regarding the incorporation of thinking skills to produce individuals who are productive and effective for social and economic prosperity. As a result, it is critical to start teaching students how to think early on in order to help them achieve their personal and professional goals and develop their thinking skills. In light of this, this study looks at how journals can be used for higher-order thinking and reflection. The study found that reflective journal writing helped students develop strategies, achieve autonomy, and activate higher-order thinking skills.
