abstract = {This paper describes various error detection and correction mechanism that can be utilized within an FFT. As the technology advances the size of the electronics component is decreasing and the number of components in the device is increasing. Due to technology scaling and aggressive voltage scaling, the number of faults or errors occurring in a circuit is increasing exponentially. So error detection and correction technique lays an important role.To detect and correcterrors with the help of algorithmic properties such asAlgorithm Based Fault Tolerance (ABFT) techniques makesthe avoidance of soft errors.By using algorithm based faulttolerance technique, the communication systems and signalprocessing systems, can be implemented with fast Fouriertransforms (FFT) which are considered to be the basicbuilding blocks of all signal processing systems. The proposedmethod can able detect multiple errors and multiple errorcorrections also possible upon best-case analysis.},
