Lithium-ion batteries are becoming the main energy sources in today’s electric vehicle market due to the advantages of high energy and power density, and long lifespan, hence detecting faulty cell in a battery pack is the most advantage way of improving battery packs performance. The way of detecting faulted cell in a whole battery pack will reduce the repair cost of the vehicle. By detecting the faulted cell in a battery pack we can avoid the total replacement of the pack. The number of electric cars in the world passed the 2 million mark last year and the International Energy Agency estimates there will be 140 million electric cars globally by 2030 if countries meet Paris climate agreement targets. This electric vehicle boom could leave 11 million tons of spent lithium-ion batteries in need of recycling between now and 2030 in order to do a better recycling we need to detect the faulted cell in a battery pack. By the method of fault detection in a battery pack the electrical waste generated will get reduced. Lithium is not a renewable source and also the extraction is also very difficult hence in order to use it for very long period we need to reuse it as much as possible. }, keywords = {}, month = {}, }
