  • Abstract:
  • The IPO market serves as a vital mechanism for capital generation and contributes significantly to economic development. This study examines the performance of IPOs in India from 2020 to 2023, analyzing key financial indicators such as issue price, issue size, and market returns. The findings reveal significant variations in IPO pricing, market volatility, and investor sentiment across different years. The peak in capital mobilization was observed in 2022, followed by a market correction in 2023, where returns turned slightly negative. The study highlights the impact of macroeconomic factors, investor behavior, and regulatory policies on IPO performance. Based on the analysis, key suggestions are provided for investors, regulators, and companies to ensure sustainable growth in the IPO market. The research contributes to the existing literature by offering insights into the evolving trends of IPOs in emerging economies and serves as a reference for policymakers and market participants.
